The project focuses on the construction and study of a toaster. The most important parts of this project were the structural and thermal simulations and the construction of the mechanism with 3D software in order to show the real funtions of a toaster.

 

THERMAL ANALYSIS

The heat generated in the resistors is distributed by the mica plate. The most important points are where the temperure is highest and lowest.

 

CAE ANALYSIS

Efforts calculations have been made over half of the piece because the piece is symmetric, which simplifies calculations. It is importat to highlight that reinforcements have the higher stress. The analysis is performed by meshing of shell.

 

The elastic material limit is 33.1 MPa and the maximum stress is 20.9 MPa, so the piece is

well dimensioned.
